Saturday 4th December 2010

So my day started off pretty normal. Woke up, dropped Paige home, chatted for a bit, went shopping to get the rest of the presents for my step-mum and Nana's birthday. Drove through Santa Parade Madness is Te Atatu Peninsula, got to love it.

Got to my dad's and have pretty much chillaxed(chilled out/relaxed) since.

But I have been thinking about what my latest nit pick will be about. Not about guys, bludgers or friends but about Christmas - pretty suitable topic at this time of year I think.

Nit Pick Time: I personally think that Christmas decorations as a kind of unsaid rule should only be put up after the 1st of December, Right? Correct me if I'm wrong though. But imagine my disgust when I walked into the mall 2 or 3 weeks ago and they already had Christmas decorations up and Christmas music playing in between the mainstream music. Not that I'm a scrooge or anything like the Grinch, but Christmas comes once a year and music & decorations should be a December thing. To be honest with you all, I don't like Christmas carols, they sorta bore me to death, yes its true there's nothing like the festive season. But the ongoing Jingle Bells seems to get me relatively frustrated. Not to mention the hordes of people that seem to inundate the mall and are dopey shoppers who don't know what to buy and should they get it is this colour or this size. I personally think, that if your going shopping for someone you should already have all the formalities sorted before you decide to venture anywhere near the mall to save the frequent shoppers the pain of standing behind you in a line whilst you make your decision. Not that I'm against Christmas shopping and giving, I'm all for it. It just seems that the mall is over crowded with inexperienced shoppers. Number 1 rule:Know what you want or are looking for, 2) Get in, Buy It, Get Out. Simple. =D
